The courses are conducted by Gordon Tuffley, owner of Cardwell Boat Licences.
He's had many years messing about in boats and is commercially qualified on vessels of up to 45 metres.
He has many years experience in teaching and instructing.

The Vessel

The Instructor
The test vessel is a 4.5m Polycraft with a 50 HP Suzuki 4 stroke.
This size of centre console craft is ideally suited for training purposes.
The boat used for testing is also available for charter.
It is in Survey 2C for 5 persons, though fewer will be taken for open waters.
It is registered for up to 5 nautical miles from land in open waters.
It is very suitable for work in creeks for a couple of charterers.
Areas of operation include all of Hinchinbrook Channel, Rockingham Bay to Clump Point and Dunk Island, most of Halifax Bay, and outside Hinchinbrook Island e.g. Zoe Bay and Ramsey Bay.
It no longer has the little canopy.
